Official Rules for the Covered By LemonadexKOZO Contest

No Purchase Necessary. A Purchase Will Not Increase Your Chances Of Winning.

No Entry Fee.

1.  Eligibility: The Covered by Lemonade x KOZO Contest (“Contest”) is only open to individuals who are, as of the date of entry, (a) legal residents of one (1) the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia, (b) at least twenty-one (21) years old, (c) have a valid email address and Internet access at the time of entry and (d) have or obtain a publicly viewable Social Media Service account.  A “Social Media Service” is Instagram or TikTok and a “Social Media Service account” is a publicly viewable account with a Social Media Service.  Employees of Lemonade, Inc. (“Sponsor”), tattoo artist’s business (“Artist”) or any of their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, or any other company or individual involved with the design, production, execution, or distribution of the Contest (collectively with Sponsor and Artist, the “Contest Entities”), and any of their respective parent and affiliate companies or subsidiaries, as well as the immediate family (spouses, parents, and step-parents, siblings, and step-siblings, and children and step-children, and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and household members of each such employee, whether or not related, are not eligible to enter or win.

Tattoos cannot be on another person’s body.

Tattoos cannot include the intellectual property of a third party (e.g., a corporate logo).

Each participant must be ready, willing and able to travel to the Artist’s studio in Brooklyn, New York between September 11th and September 13th, 2025.

2. Entry Period: The entry period starts at 9:00 AM EDT on August 18, 2025, and ends at 11:59 PM EDT on August 31, 2025 (the “Entry Period”).  All entries must be received during the Entry Period.

3. Acknowledgements:  

a.  By entering this Contest each participant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the decision of Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects.

b.  Whether an entrant receives a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth in these Official Rules.

c.  The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with any Social Media Service.  By participating in the Contest you are providing your information to Sponsor and not a Social Media Service.  Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Contest must be directed to Sponsor, not to a Social Media Service.

d.  By entering, you represent and warrant that your Entry complies with all requirements in these Official Rules and that you have all the rights necessary to grant Sponsor the rights to your Entry described in these Official Rules.

4. Create Your Entry: To enter for a chance to win, you must either (a) create and post to your Social Media Service account a video of you displaying your tattoo or (b) take and post photo(s) displaying your tattoo to your Social Media Service account; and in both cases provide a description (in the video or caption) describing the story of your tattoo and why you would like to have it covered (collectively, your “Entry”). Make sure you comply with the entry requirements set forth below. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Entry that does not meet these requirements, as determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion.

5. Entry Requirements: Your Entry must meet the following requirements:

a.  You must create your video during the Entry Period. You may not have a hired party or other person create the video.

b.  Everyone in the Entry must be appropriately clothed.

c.  The Entry cannot include crude, vulgar or offensive pictures, depictions, images, language and/or symbols.

d.  May not include personal information, such as email addresses or phone numbers (other than any such information that may already be included in your Social Media Service account).

e.  May not include illegal or inappropriate activity.

f.  You may not use any filters and you cannot edit or retouch your Entry. The use of A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) in your Entry in any way is not allowed.

g.  The Entry may not prominently feature any third-party trademarks, logos, or artwork. Moreover, it may not violate anyone’s rights, including, but not limited to, copyrights or trademark rights. You must have all rights and permissions to submit and share your Entry.

h.  The Entry may not portray Sponsor in a negative light or contain any content that is inappropriate or indecent, as determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion.

Without limiting the foregoing, Sponsor reserves the right to reject any Entry that it deems, in its sole discretion, to infringe or violate someone else’s rights or otherwise violate the law.  Any entrant who incorporates any intellectual property or material owned by a third party into his or her Entry does so at the entrant’s own risk.  If Sponsor is notified that any element of an entrant’s Entry infringes upon the rights of another person and/or receives a legally valid request to remove the relevant Entry, such Entry may be removed and/or disqualified, as Sponsor may determine in its sole discretion.

6. Submit Your Entry:

During the Entry Period, using your Social Media Service account:

Instagram – tag “@lemonade_inc” and “@kozo_tattoo” and use the campaign hashtag #lemonadexkozo

TikTok – @mention “@lemonade.inc” and use the campaign hashtag #lemonadexkozo

Failure to use the hashtags will result in your Entry not being considered.

Your Social Media Service account must be publicly viewable in order for the Entry to be viewed.

There is a limit of one (1) entry per person.  The use of any device or process to automate the entry process is prohibited.  Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual that attempts to enter multiple times or otherwise violates these Official Rules.

You may be contacted by Sponsor by a direct message on the Social Media Service used to submit your Entry and asked to submit additional information (including, without limitation, your name and email address).

7. Sponsor’s Rights to Entries: You do not transfer ownership of your Entry by entering the Contest. However, by entering, you grant Sponsor, its agents, licensees, and assign an irrevocable, perpetual (non-exclusive) right and permission to reproduce, encode, store, copy, transmit, publish, post, broadcast, display, publicly perform, adapt, modify, create derivative works of, exhibit, and otherwise use your Entry as-is or as-edited (with or without using your name) in any media throughout the world for any purpose, without limitation, and without additional review, compensation, or approval from you.

8. Judging: During and after the Entry Period, judges selected by Sponsor and Artist, will evaluate all eligible Entries based on a number of criteria, including, without limitation: (a) the tattoo must be able to be covered in the Artists sole judgment, (b) the tattoo must be on a part of the body that Artist, in his sole judgment, deems appropriate for covering (c) the judges’ consideration of the narratives provided in the Entries. The odds of winning depend on the foregoing factors.  

9. Potential Winners:  During the week of September 1, the judges will identify individual entrants, based upon the assessment of their Entries, from whom additional information, such as name, address, availability, may be requested.

10. Potential Winner and Requirements: On or about September 4th, a potential winner will be chosen based on the judging criteria.  The Sponsor will make up to two (2) attempts to reach the potential winner on the potential winner’s Social Media service account used to post the Entry.  The potential winner has twenty-four (24) hours to respond to Sponsor.  The potential winner must be able to travel to the Artist’s studio at the time chosen by the Artist to receive the prize and may be required to execute and return a Declaration of Eligibility, a Publicity and Liability Release, and a IRS Form W-9. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify a potential winner if he/she is unavailable to travel or does not sign the necessary forms within five (5) business days of the date the documents are sent. If a potential winner is disqualified, Sponsor may select an alternate potential winner in his/her place according to the criteria herein.  The potential winner will be required to represent and warrant that the entrant does not have certain physical or medical conditions which restrict or prevent the ability of the Artist from covering the tattoo. 

11. Prize:  The prize will consist of the Artist covering the tattoo that the entrant identified in the Entry.  Sponsor will provide up to $3,000 for the cost of travel and/or accommodation.  Entrant is responsible to make his or her own arrangements for travel and/or accommodation.

12. Social Media Service:  The Contest Entities are not responsible for any changes or unavailability of the Social Media Service that may interfere with your Entry, including the use of any protected or private mode that prevents the Entry from being viewed.  Any damage made to the Social Media Service will be the responsibility of the authorized account holder of the email address utilized for entry via the Social Media Service account.

It is the responsibility of an entrant to set his or her account setting to accept contact from the Sponsor and to timely check his or her account for any Sponsor direct message.

13. General Conditions: All details and other restrictions of prizes not specified in these Official Rules will be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.  The prize may not be assigned, transferred, or changed except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.  Payment of up to $3,000 for travel and/or accommodation will be provided as a reimbursement and dependent upon providing to Sponsor evidence of payment by the entrant, or for the entrant’s benefit, for travel and/or accommodations.  No substitution, transfer or cash equivalent of the prize is permitted, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.  Any prize depicted in advertising or promotional materials or otherwise in connection with this Contest are for illustrative purpose only and may not represent the actual prize that is awarded.  In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between disclosures or other statements contained in any such advertising or promotion materials and the terms and conditions of these Official Rules, these Official Rules shall prevail and govern.  The value of the prize may be taxable to the winner as income.  The winner must supply Sponsor with his or her social security number for tax purposes. The winner is solely responsible for all federal, state, or local taxes and the reporting consequences thereof and any fees or costs associated with the prize.  In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Contest is impaired in any way, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, either: (a) suspend the Contest to address the impairment and then resume the Contest; or (b) award the prize according to the procedures set forth above from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify and seek damages from any individual who tampers with the operation of the Contest, violates these Official Rules, or acts in a disruptive or unsportsmanlike manner. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Proof of sending any communication to Sponsor by mail shall not be deemed proof of receipt of that communication by Sponsor. The Contest is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.

14. Release and Limitations of Liability: By entering, you agree to release and hold harmless the Contest Entities, their parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Contest or use of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Contest; (b) technical errors that may impede entry; (c) any claim or allegation that your Entry infringes any copyright, trademark, or any other intellectual property right; (d) lost, late, misdirected, or undeliverable mail; (e) errors in the administration of the Contest or the processing of entries; or (f) injury or damage to persons or property. You further agree that in any cause of action, in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorney’s fees. You waive the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages.

15. Privacy and Publicity: Except where prohibited, participation in the Contest constitutes your consent to Sponsor’s use of your name and Entry for promotional purposes in any media without further payment or consideration.

16. Disputes: Except where prohibited, you agree that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Contest or any prize shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in New York. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, your rights and obligations, or Sponsor’s rights and obligations in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of New York, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of New York or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than New York. 

17. Winner Information: After the Winner is selected, information about the winner will be posted on lemonade.com and its social media pages.

18. Sponsor: The Contest is sponsored by Lemonade, Inc., 5 Crosby Street, New York, NY 10013.
